Accidents happen to everyone, and they can really get in the way of your life and passions. But that doesn’t need to keep you down! So here are some quick tips for your speedy recovery!

Get lots of rest

The temptation is very strong to try and power through, but your body needs lots of rest. Even when you’re healthy, your body needs the sleep to recover and heal muscle. So when you’ve been in an accident, it is even more critical to give your body the break it needs

Resume Exercise 

Exercising is going to be good for you, but it is important that you start very slowly. Your body is not going to be working at peak performance, and forcing it to will not help; it will get you more hurt. If you normally run every day, consider running a fourth of the time or distance while you are still injured. Always talk to your doctor before doing this, and they may be able to give you advice on how to do it!

Eat Well

Whether or not you are a professional athlete, an office worker, or a full-time student, it is important to give your body the healthy energy to help restore itself. Protein is especially good for this.

Track your Progress

Having limits can be hard to handle, but if you keep a close eye on how your condition is improving, it will really help you both feel better, and understand your body better! You’ll be able to know what is working, what isn’t working, and maybe even what would help your health when your injury heals. Some people keep a journal, some just look in a mirror each day, and some just ask a friend; it doesn’t take much, but it will help so much!
